In order to better protect consumers and the environment in the EU, EU laws require that in order to achieve product traceability, the products with CE mark put into the EU market by the manufacturer must be marked with the manufacturer's name and contact address; If the manufacturer is from a country other than EEA (including EU and EFTA), its products must be marked with the name and contact address of the manufacturer and the manufacturer's authorized representative of the EU.
What are the responsibilities of the EU authorized representative?
· Be responsible for contacting the regulatory authorities of various countries within the EU and dealing with equipment complaints, adverse events and recalls.
· As required, keep technical documents or CE declaration of conformity for inspection by the competent authority.
· Entrusted by the manufacturer to register products in the EU and apply for the free sales certificate issued by the EU.
· Provide the EU authorized representative logo and its registered address required on the product packaging, label and operation manual.
How to apply for European representative
· The contract terms of the EU authorized representative shall be the main official language version of the EU, which is generally the official language of the country where the EU representative is located;
· According to the requirements of EU regulations, when applying for CE certification, there must be an European agency agreement to apply for CE;
· Fill in the product information application form;
· Provide DOC documents (Declaration of conformity);
· Sign the European agency agreement;
· Issue the European label and print it on the package.
